TWK Studio wedding shoot of Vikki and Gene

When we posted this couples engagement shoot online, they had so many hits it took out the record which still stands to this day.

Vikki and Gene did all of their wedding things  at Cleveland. The ceremony was at the Cleveland Courthouse as was the reception and all the location photos were shot close around the area.

The Courthouse Cleveland has been a popular spot for weddings for a long time. What is nice than a backdrop of Moreton Bay while telling the person you love you want to be with them for the rest of your life.

What happens when the weather is a bummer?……like totally POURING RAIN!!

There are old favourite places that we keep coming back to for a lot of reasons. One of them may be that there are places of shelter out of the rain. Well, at least the couple can have shelter but usually the poor photographer is standing out in the rain. Another reason could be that they very simply give a great variety of backgrounds and simply are very useful.

Catherine and Brendan are just so cute. When Jenny came back she asked what she’s been doing to deserve all the lovely couples she’s been getting. When all your customers are lovely, that’s what happens.

TWK Studio pre Wedding session of Kristen and Micky at New Farm Park

Doesn’t the time just fly fast.

We usually like to have a session with the Bride and Groom about three months out from the wedding day. Does this happen all the time? Well, noooo.  It’s usually about three days. Maybe not three days but sometimes about 4 or 5 weeks.

I love Kristen’s Polka dot dress. And Micky doesn’t look too bad either

TWK Studio Newborn photos of Charlotte

TWK Studio Newborn photography is one of the services that TWK Studio can offer to our clients. We are lucky enough to have Krista and Jenny on staff and these two have had plenty of experience with kids both being wonderful and caring mums.

Part of the joy of being a wedding photographer is the fact that not only  are we privileged to share in the excitement of a wedding day, the relationships that are formed at that time of a couples life continue on. Natalie and Ard were married in December 2010 at Topiaries of Beaumont, a venue we go to quite often.

We were also very privileged to be invited to share in the joy and excitement of welcoming Charlotte into Natalie and Ard’s lives. Little Charlotte is so beautiful.

We have set up a small cosy little Newborn shooting area where the natural light coming in through the frosted glass window washes gently over the scene and the Newborns are not frightened by studio flash going “bang “.

Charlotte was about a week old when her Mum and Dad brought her in for her session. It is always best to schedule your Newborn session when they are 7-12 days old as the little ones are still supple enough to be shaped for their photos. Remember they had to squeeze and tuck where they came from  and they lose  suppleness gradually as they get that little bit older.

 Josh’s favourite moment in the day was at the reception after the speeches when we finally had the opportunity to mingle and chat to our family and friends.

The week of the wedding flew as they finished the last details in Brisbane and the wedding day brought the end of a drought for the area so a few last minute changes had to be made. The wedding was magical. Topiaries at Beaumont House was the perfect backdrop for a simple ceremony and cocktail reception. Our father-daughter photographers from TWK managed the weather perfectly and as a result our wedding was captured in all its detail. Caitlin’s favourite moment in the day was driving to location for photos after the ceremony. It was her three favourite things all at once; driving together, Josh and lots of tulle.
